Crazy Polishes

Hello,

Today I am here with another Born Pretty Store product review. Last year born pretty store released a bunch of stamping polishes in different collections. Ya Qin An is one of the stamping polish collection released last year. These polishes comes in a square shape bottle and there is 18ml of the product in it. Lets first see the nail art i did with it

No #8 Electric Blue is bright electric blue as the name suggest. The color is very amazing and it stamps well on light as well as dark bases. Take a look:

However the nail polish bleeds a bit when applied a top coat. the bleed isnt visible on dark bases like the black base in above picture but on the white base you can see a purple hue around the image. Here is a picture i clicked with and without top coat over this polish.

The stamping plate i used for this nail art is BPS L-024 and the base is opi my boyfriend scales walls.

Today's nail art is all about bling and shimmers and girly. I got this set of 12 colours glitter powder from Born Pretty Store for review. From last few days i wanted to have some glitter powder and shimmer sets in my stash because they are so good for accent nails, gradients and instant party looks.

This set has 12 colours of glitter powder in tiny pots aranged in an acrylic rectangular box. The glitter powder is made of very tiny hex glitter. The glitter are so tiny that you have to see it very closely to notice that. Colour selection is very good and has blue, silver, gold, purple, black, pink , white glitter powder. I used silver glitter powder from this set for thismanicure.

In my parcel the white glitter powder pot was not tightly closed so the white glitter powder came out of the pot in shipping and created this mess.

I am dedicated to complete all the pending reviews as soon as i can, that is why today's post gonna be featuring another Born Pretty Store product, a stamping plate this time. I have got BPS-L021 stamping plate for review. Born pretty store's rectangular stamping plates need no introduction. Thet have been in the market from quite some time now but first lets take a look of the nail art i did using this stamping plate:

BPS-L021 is a rectangular stamping plate with a white plastic backing. This platre has sevral silhouette pictures and the images are very cute, romantic and fun.

Today's post have some fun and easy nail arts to show. I got couple of water decals sheets from Nicole Diary. It is an Ali express store which sells nail art decoration and other nail stuff. They have an Amzon store also. I have two manicures to show today and both are using different water decals from the store. Lets have a look:

First manicure is with flower water decals. This water decal is transparent base and have flowers in black outlines.

I faced little some issue with this water decal because the trasparent sheet protector over the decal was little tough to remove. Other than then it worked fine.

For the nail art i created a watercolor base and i should have apply a layer of top coat before putting water decal on it to get a streak-free base but i forgot to do that and applied decal directly on the base.

Second manicure is featuring cute bird water decals fro the store. Unlike above decals, this decal sheet was perfect, no issues with protecting sheet and worked amazing. These decals are not transparent as the flower decals above.

Today's post has a unique stamping plate from a newer brand Ejiubas. Ejiubas is an online store which sells nail art, beauty and fashion products. The store was founded in 2013. I saw their stamping plates last year but because i was busy and was irregular in doing nail arts, i couldnt get hold of these beautiful plates.

These plates are etched on both sides and that makes them unique. Currently there are 4 collection of stamping plates available on the website. Each collection has 2 stamping plates which are etched on both sides. I got the first set "wonders of life" to review. I also got their silicon nail mat along with the stamping plates. First lets look at the nail art i did using these products:

The dimension of the plate is 14cm x 8cm and all the plates have array of full nail images on one side and buffet style images on the other. Full nail images measures 2cm x 1.6cms each. The plate comes with a blue protective sheet on both sides and both plates are put in a single cover.

Today's post is a short one. I have done double stamping manicures previously but i never tried something like today's manicure before. This manicure has same pattern stamped with different stamping colours on a base. The difference is the second stamped image overlaps the first stamped image to give it overall dual tone or shadow effect.

Today's post gonna be a long one. I have already posted these swatches on my Instagram account and i delayed posting them here only to find out about how long they stay well on the nails. So, the polishes i am here talking about are Rio Rio Shield Gel Polishes from Kinetics Nail Systems.

Kinetics Nail Systems was founded in USA but later moved to Europe and operating from Europe since then. They have a vast collection of nail polishes. Rio Rio collection was released for summer 2016. This collection has 12 nail polishes and comes both in Solar Gel(no need of uv/led curing) and Shield(needs uv/led lamp to cure)gel formula. Shades in both formula are exactly same, only difference is that Solar Gel shades have name whereas corresponding Shield polishes have numbers. I have Rio Rio Shield collection swatches. I used Shield Gel polish base and Shield Gel polish Glossy Top for the swatches.

Formula overall is nice and like other gel polishes need a good shake before use. I applied three coats of polishes for all the swatches, they apply beautifully, though i would be thrilled if i could work with two coats only but i apply gel very thinly. Lets checkout the swatches now:

#329 is a peach shade.

#330 is a neon orange shade.

#331 is a orange-red shade.

#332 is a light pink shade.

#333 is a medium pink shade.

#334 is a mauve pink shade.

#335 is a bright red shade.

#336 is a beautiful berry shade.

#337 is a pretty sky blue polish.

#338 is a deep bright blue shade.

#339 is a grass green shade.

Lastly, #340 is a bottle green shade.

I applied only two coats of this hence the patches.

I have also done two nail arts with the polishes.

Today's post has swatches of few Moyou London stamping polishes. Moyou London releases a vast collection of stamping polishes last year. I previously swatched few of their duo tone stamping polishes. Today, I am sharing swatches of four creme shades from the collection.

Stamping polish i am talking here are Mesa Sunrise, Cappuccino, Kiss The Frog and Fresh Basil.

These stamping polishes come in a nice packaging with shade name written on the front of the box as well as in the bottom on the polish bottle. These polishes are 9ml each except from black and white shade which are also available in 15ml bottles.

Polish bottle has satin golden finish cap. Formula of the polish is nice, Its not too thick or runny, that makes them good to use as a regular polish also. For the swatches i used moyou london Crystal Clear stamper and Arabesque 04 stamping plate. I swatched the polish over a black and a white base to give you an idea about how much opaque they look on dark and light bases. I also applied the stamping polish on my nails as regular polish to show the color as correct as possible.

Mesa Sunrise is an orange red , like a burnt orange shade.

Cappuccino is a medium brown shade.

Kiss The Frog is a jade green shade.

Lastly, Fresh Basil is a pretty green shade.

As you can see, these polishes show up great on light as well as dark bases.

This goes without saying that i love Moyou London brand. I love their stamping plates, their stamping polishes works awesome. I have tried their previous stampers sets. So i felt so happy when i got a chance to review new Crystal Clear Stamp and Scraper set.

This set released few months back. The stamper has a clear see through stamper head in a matte white holder, which comes with a detachable base and a cap. There is also a scraper in the set and both stamp and scraper come in a beautiful box.

Diameter of the stamper head is 3.5cms and the width is 1cm. The stamper is medium squishy in terms of softness but because the size of the stamper is pretty big as compared to regular xl stamper, it doesn't need a lot of pressure while transferring image on to the nails.

Clarity of the stamper head is very nice. There is no bubbles in the stamper head and as the name suggests, its really crystal clear.

I didnt have to buff the stamper head before using it for the first time, neither you should ever buff a clear stamper because it may harm the clarity. If the stamper isn't working for you then just give it a wash with a mild soap and let it dry.

I rolled it over a lint roller before using the stamper for the first time. You should never apply a nail polish remover or pure acetone on a clear stamper head. For cleaning it up, use scotch tape or lint roller.

I have tried the stamper with Moyou London, Konad, Mundo De Unas, Nyc foils and El Corazon stamping polishes and it works great with all of them.

I have created a video of how to use it and testing it with different kind of images.

Pueen recently released Theme Park Collection. This collection has 4 plates right now and these are rectangular plates have mostle full nail images. The plates are based of different themes and name of the plates are Marble Paradise 01, Visual Wonderland 01, Secret Garden 01 and Animal Safari 01.

Today i have swatches and nail art i created with Marble Paradise 01.

Marble Paradise 01 plate like all the other plates from this collection, comes in a paper sleeve with few design ideas printed on the front and how to stamp picture tutorial on the back of the sleeve.

The plate has a hard plastic backing with an art print(check out video below), the back also has a clear plastic protective sheet. Front of the stamping plate comes with a blue protecting sheet. This image plate has 12 images inspired from different kind of water marble designs.

All the images are very well etched. The size of each image is 1.8cms(width), 2.4cms(height). Few images are 2.8cms in height like first two and last two in the top row. Plate's overall size is 12.5x6.5cms.

Today's post is featuring some of new items in my nail polish stash. I recently got couple of stamping plates from Yours Cosmetics. The company is based in Netherlands and has a vast collection of stamping plates and supplies.

Another special thing in today's manicure is that i stamped my nails with a magnetic polish from Masura. Apparently, msura magnetic polishes are opaque enough to work as a stamping polish too.

Mirror powders and Holographic powders are so in boom these days. Every nail brand and suppliers are releasing new powder products every day. If you dont know, what i am talking about here, Mirror powders are a powder product which when applied on a gel polish base, gives a reflective chrome finish. Mirror powders avaibke currently are meant to work with gel polish only but many bloggers and testers found a way to make them work with regular polish though from the results i have seen, the powder works best with gel products only. Holographic powder, as the name suggests gives a holo finish. Today's post showing two different kind of holographic powders from the company calles Ostar Nails.

Ostar Nails is a Taiwan based nail supply company. They sent me their new mirror, chameleon and holographic powder samples to review and test. Today's post as mentioned is about their Rainbow Carnival Kit. This kit includes 2 different holographic powders- Transparent and Siver, one silicon tool to apply the powder on to the nails and one mirror gel base. So lets see how the both powders works:

Rainbow Carnival- Silver is a silver base holographic powder. This powder is suggested to apply on a black base. This gives oil slick kind of holo effect with silver chrome mirror effect. This is THE MOST stunning holographic effect i have ever seen.

Before you start using this powder, you must have tools and accessories to do gel nails at home, that includes a UV or LED lamp. These instructions are for gel nails only.

Steps to apply this powder:

1. Prepare your nails for gel application(shape nails, take care of cuticles)

2. Apply a gel nail primer.

3. Apply a layer of normal gel base coat and cure in UV/LED lamp.

4. Apply black color gel polish and cure in in the lamp. Repeat this step to make the polish opaque enough. I used 2 coats of black gel polish.

5. Apply one layer of mirror gel base and cure it for 1 minute in the lamp.

6. Take a very small amount of powder on to the silicon tool and rub the tool on the nail with light pressure. The powder will start setting on the nail just after 2-3 strokes, keep moving the tool on to your nails so that the powder sets in each and every corner of the nails.

7. Clean the excess powder with a fan or kabuki brush.

8. Apply a layer of top coat and cure. You can repeat this step for extra protection to the powder.

This looks super amazing in sunlight too.

Rainbow Carnival- Transparent is more versatile powder in sense that it can be applied on any color base and make it a holographic. I applied this powder on to a blue gel polish and also on a pink and green gel polishes.

Application: This applies same as first powder except that it can be used on any gel polish base(unlike the black base in previous powder) and the best results can be achieved if you apply it with finger tip and not with the silicon tool provided. I tried using the silicon applicator as well as eye shadow applicator, they both didnt work as easy as the finger tip.

Falls has officially started and temperature is going down. With fall, comes holidays and lots of pretty holiday inspired nail arts. So, today's post is featuring my first holiday manicure this year and review of this beautiful "Holiday Series" stamping plate set from Ejiubas.

This Holiday set has 2 stamping plates one is Halloween themed(EJB-04) and another is Christmas theme(EJB-03) based. Like other Ejiubas stamping plates, both of these plates are etched on both side of the plates.

Both the sides of plate is protected by a blue plastic film. One side has rectangular images and other side has buffet style images. The image size of rectangular images is 2.0x1.5cm(LxW).

These stamps very beautifully with all details transferred seamlessly. I tried stamping images with two different stampers.

These are few sample swatches of the plates. Top row has swatches from EJB-03(first three images from side A which has rectangular images and last three are images from side B which has buffet style images). Bottom row has swatches from EJB-04(same type as mentioned for above plate).

For the nail art, i used Nubar hot orange, and a layer of China Glaze fairy dust. Stamping polishes are konad special polish in black and white. Finally HK girl top coat.

Chrome nails are on the rage these days and i cant have enough of them. Though i haven't posted much about them here but i am continuously testing different brand mirror powders and today's post is featuring my favorite mirror powders in my collection.

Ostar Nails is a Taiwan based company. They released variety of powders like holographic powders, multi chrome mirror powders, gold, silver mirror powders. I have reviewed both of their holographic powders previously(check HERE), today's post showing three of their chrome mirror powders which also come as a set "Mirror Snow Powder Kit".

What is a Mirror/Chrome Powder?

Chrome/Mirror Powder is a very fine powder which comes in variety of options like silver, gold, multichrome and even holographic. The specialty of this powder is, when applied over a gel base it gives mirror-like chrome look. The effect is unmatch-able to any other chrome finish polish or foil or anything like that available currently in market. These gives flawless finish and super reflective effect. The only downside is that these powders works perfectly with gel only products.

Won't this powder work with regular nail polish?

Primarily mirror powders are made to use with only gel polishes and works only on a no-wipe gel top coat applied before applying the powder. Some bloggers/vloggers did test them with regular polish and water based top coat and got good result, i however don't suggest it for two reasons, first the effect isn't as strong as gel application, second the powder might not last long(maybe 2-3 days)as the regular top coat isn't as strong as gel top coat, and if you are a cook like me, it may get into your food. Its just my point of view, its totally up-to you if you wanna try them with regular polish and top coat. Just keep in mind that you will need a water based top coat(like what we use for nail foils, piCture pOlish revolution and little ondine are few of those that works).

Coming towards today's post Ostar Nails Mirror Snow Kit has 3 different mirror powders, one mirror base coat, one mirror top coat and a swarovski silicon brush. the powders included in kit are Snow Silver, Diamond Gold and Dark Silver.

I have posted a "how-to" video for all of these powders on my Youtube channel.

All the three powders works amazing and give very nice finish. They apply nicely too and need a very tiny amount to cover whole nail.

Snow Silver is a silver mirror effect powder.

Diamond Gold is my favorite among these three powders. It is so beautiful and gives such a flawless finish.

Dark Silver gives a darker mirror finish. It look dark grey upon applying on a black gel base. I need to try it on a colorful base to check how will it look on that(i have a feeling that it will make colorful chrome nails but i am not sure, instructions suggests to apply it on a black base only).

Mirror powders and holo powders are all the rage these days and i personally love them. I always wanted gel nail with strong holo effect. I know there are holographic gel polishes available in the market but the effect isn't as awesome as regular holographic polish. Thanks to these new products, we can now have strong holo effect gel nails. I have reviewed two different holo powders previously and today's post have another gorgeous holographic powder.

This is EZ Dip Nails "HOLO Pure" holographic powder. I got it in a deluxe kit which include gel base, gel top , one gel color, five swatch sticks and an applicator along-with a 2 gm jar of holo pure holographic powder.

The kit comes with instructions regarding how to use it but lets first see how the powder look over a purple gel base.

Instructions:

1. Prepare nails for gel application.

2. Apply gel base and cure for a minute.

3. Apply two coats of color gel and cure each coat for a minute.

4. Apply one coat of gel top and cure for 30 sec.

5. Apply powder using applicator and gently buff it in. dust off the excess.

6.Finally, apply one coat of gel top and cure for a minute.

I tried the powder on different color bases(blue and dark mauve) and this is how it looked:

The effect is gorgeous, though due to high amount of pigment the base color get light a bit. Here's a picture i taken in direct sunlight:

I am sharing an actual nail art after a long time here. This manicure i created for CICI & SISI color pairing contest. The contest is about to create a nail art using CICI & SISI layerd plates (reviewed here). I came up with layered rose image nail art which is inspired from porcelain roses. Here's my manicure:

B03 Midnight Blue has a deep blue to purple shift. Though i love the blue color of this but the shift isnt as bright as other powders. It maybe because both colors are not contrasting colors

B04 Forest Fairy has the most wide color spectrum it shifts from teal, blue, purple, gold, bronze.

Finally my favorite B05 Mermaid Blush. This one here the most gorgeous colors and the shift. I love this one so much.

I am writing here after a long time. I have been busy in travelling, shopping, festivities and i will be regular only after this week that means with start of new year. Today i have swatches of two Nfu-Oh polishes from their Glitter Collection along-with a nail art i did using both of them.

First of all, these bottles are just so pretty. They are designed like a ball gown having a corset design on bottle cap. Both of these polishes have a sheer base with lots of holographic micro glitters in. These polishes are sent to me by Maconii. They are Australia based re-seller having variety of polish brands from indie to main stream, they do sell other stuff like collectibles, gifts toys too. They ship polishes worldwide.

Nfu-Oh GS11 has a sheer golden base and as mentioned above is loaded with holographic micro glitters. This polish is little more sheer than the other one and it took me four coats to make it opaque. Though because the formula is sheer, it applies thinly but still four coats are little too much to get along with. Other than that its a very pretty sparkly polish.

Nfu-Oh GS14 has black base and holographic micro glitters. This one has better formula than above and requires only two to three coats.

I really liked GS14, i wish Nfu-Oh named their polishes better because its very tough to remember numbers as oppose to fun names.

And here is the nail art i did using both of these polishes. I used Whats Up Nails Vinyls to create the design.

Today i have some gorgeous and super holographic nail polish swatches to share with you all.

I got these beautiful Nfu Oh holographic polishes from Maconii Beauty. These polishes have unque numbers instead of having a proper name, which i dont appreciate very much but these are amazing polishes nevertheless. Lets jump into swatches

Nfu Oh #61 is a silver holographic polish. The formula of this one is very patchy and thin thats why it too four coats to cover my nail completely. I applied this polish on a peel off base but i somewhere read that these polishes works great with Nfu Oh Aqua base. I dont have it so i used UNT peel off base but except from this and one more polish, i didnt face any issue with rest of them.

Nfu Of #62 is a pinkish nude holographic polish. i loved this shade so much, its perfect for office wear. Formula wise it is better than the silver one, it is not patchy. I applied three coats and top coat for the pictures.

Nfu Oh #64 is a dark pink holographic polish. Formula of this was same as #62. Three coats and top coat for the picture. All of these polishes have very thin formula so even when you apply three or four coats, they dry super fast and doesnt look like a thick layer of polish on the nails.

Nfu Oh #65 is a blue holographic polish. Formula of this one was little bit similar to the silver one and that means that it needed four coats because it was very patchy.

Nfu Of #66 is a very pretty light green holographic polish. Formula is good and i applied three coats of nail polish with additional layer of top coat.

So, that was all the swatches i have. As i mentioned earlier too, though i applied minimum three layers of the polishes but these are quick dry polishes and applies very thinly so it doesn't feel like that you have put lots of coats on the nails.

I did geometric reverse stamping nail art using these polishes.
